A photograph of the first Friendswood Academy teacher, Alfred T. White. In 1898 at age sixty he graduated from Normal College in Danville, Indiana as an educator. He arrived in Friendswood before 1900. Professor White taught high school pupils on the second floor of the Friendswood Academy beginning in 1902.
